Wacky Weather in South LA

In all of my living years, I have never seen it snow like this in the South. Wow, looking at some of these pictures, no one would believe me if I told them that they were made in Louisiana...and for that matter, south Louisiana. Madeline made a wish on a star one night, "I wish it would snow for Christmas." Well, she got her wish, and it is pretty darn close to Christmas. The whole southern part of Louisiana and Mississippi entered a state of shock. No one down here knows how to function in the snow...not even a little bit. Schools and businesses shut down, and we all stayed inside, or, rather, outside and played in the snow. We lost utilities for two days. Jason made me laugh when he told his dad that he supposed the insurance companies would now add a "snowstorm" rider to our policy just as they did with hurricanes. One last note....yesterday, a week after this storm, it was 80 degrees outside!!! Gotta love living in the South!!
