Mom invited my brother Jamie and his family (Lesley and Seamus), Madeline, and me to the Christmas parade in Liberty, Mississippi. I lived in Liberty from age three until I went away to college. Going to a Christmas parade in a small town, especially your hometown, is a wonderful experience. First of all, the streets are not crowded; therefore, you get tons of candy and throws without having to fight for them.
Next, the parade is not extremely long, so the kids don't get tired before it's halfway over...well...on second thought, this little one did!
And, of course, the highlight of the parade is seeing Santa come down the lane on a firetruck!
