The other night I was tracking the LSU/Troy game on the internet since it wasn't televised, and Madeline walks in saying, "Mama, who is this for?" with the biggest grin on her face. To my dismay, she had found one of her Christmas gifts, that I had called myself hiding well, under my bed. I didn't know what to say so I said, "that's from Daddy and me, and now you won't have a present from us to open on Christmas!" I couldn't tell her that it was from you-know-who! Now I must step it up since she is older. Guess I'll be hiding gifts in the attic or, better yet, at work. She thinks this life-size Barbie is her sister. It kept her entertained for the duration of my game, so I guess that was the biggest advantage. She swapped clothes with her a couple of times and put her princess dress up clothes on her, too. The doll actually looks like Madeline, don't you think?

That is so funny! Don't you hate that you can't talk about their Christmas presents in front of them anymore, or go Christmas shopping with them? Just think, in a couple of years they won't even believe in Santa any more.
