We visited Bass Pro with Granny Cat and had a blast. First, while we were eating in the restaurant, Madeline looked up and said, "Mommy, look, it's Santa." Sure enough, a fellow that looked like Santa was walking our way. He was dressed in a checkered shirt as if Santa had been at the workshop all day. As he approached Madeline, he said, "Ho, ho, ho!" He and his wife took a seat across from G. Cat. "Santa" took out his wallet and handed G. Cat a card, and said, "this is my secret number." He and his wife were actually Santa and Mrs. Claus at a Bass Pro Shop in Houston. Madeline held that card all night. Next, we went to take a picture with Santa...it turned out great! The first one was free, and of course you can order more online. Finally, we walked around snapping pictures here and there. G. Cat was amazed at the entire store. This was her first visit!

Must Step It Up
The other night I was tracking the LSU/Troy game on the internet since it wasn't televised, and Madeline walks in saying, "Mama, who is this for?" with the biggest grin on her face. To my dismay, she had found one of her Christmas gifts, that I had called myself hiding well, under my bed. I didn't know what to say so I said, "that's from Daddy and me, and now you won't have a present from us to open on Christmas!" I couldn't tell her that it was from you-know-who! Now I must step it up since she is older. Guess I'll be hiding gifts in the attic or, better yet, at work. She thinks this life-size Barbie is her sister. It kept her entertained for the duration of my game, so I guess that was the biggest advantage. She swapped clothes with her a couple of times and put her princess dress up clothes on her, too. The doll actually looks like Madeline, don't you think?

Nine Years Ago.......
On November 12, 1999, a Friday night, Jason and I married. It was held at the Gatehouse in Baton Rouge. What a lovely wedding with our family and friends by our side. I remember the wedding as if it was yesterday! Happy Anniversary, Jason! I love you and wish you could be home to celebrate another year and toast to many more years to come.

More of Madeline's Art
I love to see these little innocent pictures. This is the latest critter to add to Madeline's portfolio. She drew this on the back of one of her workbook pages at school! A+++ Madeline!

Trick or Treating Tradition
Every Halloween, since Madeline was two years old, she has trick-or-treated with her dearest friend, Shaina. This year was no exception. It is funny to watch them develop into trick-or-treating pros. This year they had perfected the, "trick or treat," but required frequent reminders to say, "thank you." By the end of the night, they had this down. What a lovely pair, or should I say really scary pair!!!

Hanna Montana, Spider Witch, and Fairy
This Halloween Dance Party was at A Touch of Class. Madeline has been taking dancing lessons here for over a year now. She has made some wonderful friends, and she looks forward to going every Tuesday.
